Architect Stanford White designed some of the most iconic places in NYC.
The Washington Square Arch, the Metropolitan Club at East 60th Street, the Judson Memorial Church at 55 Washington Square, the Villard Houses at 455 Madison Avenue, the Players at 16 Gramercy Park South, and the Bowery Savings Bank are just some of his achievements.
HIs masterpiece is The Gould Memorial Library located at the Bronx Community College. It was based on the Pantheon. Most recently it was a setting for a glorious party in The Greatest Showman. I recently completed two photoshoots at the library. It has undergone a major renovation in the last few years to correct years of neglect. Meteor Lighting designed and installed the lighting in the rotunda at the top of the seventy feet high ceiling. The shoot was challenging due to the high ceilings and enormous size of the interior. Many of the images online have an orange tint to them but that's not color, it's golden. It was privilege to photograph such stunning architectural masterpiece. It is my goal to create epic images for my clients. It was easy to do that here.
