The 2nd oldest library in NYC is in the General Society of Mechanics & Tradesmen of the City of New York's headquarters. The library recently celebrated it's 204 anniversary. Easton Architects, a NYC architectural firm specializing in historic preservation, was tapped to restore the library's stunning skylight.
I was hired to photograph their work. The following are images of the library's interior and the top of the skylight.
